Serves 6-8
Prep time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
12 Roma tomatoes, chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, chopped or minced
3 tbsp. Fresh basil, chiffonade
½ small red onion (optional)
¼ cup Olive oil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 loaf French or sourdough bread
Directions:
- Cut the tomatoes in half length-wise. Remove the seeds by cutting the tomatoes by gently squeezing then shaking each half. Chop tomatoes.
- Add garlic.
- Add basil.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer, you can use garlic salt instead of regular table salt.
- Mix.
- Add olive oil.
- Mix until all ingredients are covered with olive oil.
- Transfer to serving dish.
- Serve with bread.
