Man shot twice while walking in Livonia

Posted: Updated:
LIVONIA, Mich. (WJBK) - Wishing it were all a dream, the mother of 29-year-old Bryan Foley visited her son in the hospital Tuesday.

"It's very hard. My heart is broke," she says.

Livonia police say just after midnight Saturday morning four men riding in an unknown sedan drove up along Foch Street in Livonia and started shooting at Foley.

Foley was hit in the leg and the back. The shooters drove off, leaving Foley bleeding in the street, and are still out there.

"He called 911 himself. He was still alert when he was at the hospital. He just wanted to know if he was going to make it," says mother Chris Dzbanski.

His girlfriend of nearly 8 years is by his side along with family and friends. Even strangers are offering their support.

Dzbanski says he is on a ventilator right now.

Livonia police continue to investigate. If you have any information you're asked to come forward and call police.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for those wishing to donate to help cover Foley's medical bills.
