Hood Pranks

Posted: Updated:

It looked and sounded like a real drive-by shooting. Instantly, the people in one neighborhood ran for cover. But it wasn't real. It was pranksters shooting a video, hoping it would go viral. It did. The pretend drive-by shooting video got more than 6-million views on YouTube. If you search on the web for "Hood Pranks", hundreds of videos will come up. It's a new trend--people harassed and terrified on video.

Critics say these "Hood Prank" videos target African American communities. They humiliate unsuspecting people and they're simply not funny. Yet, these prank videos are getting millions of hits on YouTube. And they’re making the producers, a lot of money.

Are they funny or are they racist? Let us know what you think.
