NETHER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. -

An alleged incident at a crosswalk at a train station in Nether Providence has a former SEPTA police officer in hot water.

Police say his name is Douglas Ioven and he's a former SEPTA police officer who now finds himself on the wrong side of the law for allegedly threatening a man with a loaded gun in a bizarre road rage incident.

“I don't understand behavior like that,” said SEPTA Police Chief Tom Nestel. “That's not the kind of person I want in a transit police uniform. It's not the kind of people we have in a transit police uniform.”

The incident occurred last month as a man using the crosswalk at Providence Road and Possum Hollow Road told police Ioven beeped his horn as he walked across the street. When the man asked, "What's the rush?" Ioven allegedly pointed the gun at him and said, "What are you going to do about it?"

“Unusual behavior and he's just spiraling, and he better catch himself,” said Chief Nestel.

The man called police and they pulled Ioven over at Providence and Bullens .He told the officer he was a SEPTA cop and pulled his gun because he felt threatened by the man in the crosswalk. There was a loaded gun in his truck, according to the police. SEPTA informed police that Ioven had in fact been fired 5 months earlier.

SEPTA says Ioven was terminated after he got into a confrontation with a woman at the Dunkin Donuts in Suburban Station on Christmas day over his spot in line. She told police he physically restrained her when she tried to file a complaint and rammed her head into an ATM.

“That officer represented our department inappropriately, not the way that we expect him to and now we suffer the consequences of his inappropriate actions,” said Chief Nestel.

On Thursday, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office charged Douglas Ioven,42, with official oppression, false imprisonment, REAP, harassment, simple assault, obstruction of law or other governmental gunction and retaliation against a witness in the Dunkin Donuts incident on Christmas Day.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
