TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say one person was taken to a hospital for treatment after a drive-by shooting near a Tempe high school.
Tempe police say McClintock High was put on precautionary lockdown around 1 p.m. Wednesday after shots were fired from a moving vehicle on a nearby street.
McClintock is being used for summer classes by the Tempe Union High School District.
Police say the injured person was treated at the scene by Tempe Fire Department and then transported to a hospital.
The name and condition of the victim wasn't immediately released.
Police say two people allegedly involved in the drive-by shooting transported themselves to a hospital.
Police are investigating the possibility that the incident is drug-related.
