CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried luring a girl into a vehicle Monday in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

About 3:30 p.m. on Monday, a girl was walking north in the 6600 block of North Lakewood Avenue when a man—believed to be 25 to 30 years old—drove up in a blue or green four-door vehicle and said, “Would you like a ride somewhere? Can I take you somewhere?” according to an alert from Chicago Police.

The girl refused and kept walking, and the man drove off northbound on Lakewood, police said.

The man is described as a bulky or stout, 200 to 220-pound black man, standing between 5-foot-8 to 6-feet, police said. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a colored design on the front.

Anyone with information should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8200.
