CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. -

Investigators have located the body of a missing 80-year-old man in Douglas County.

Deputies say Jimmy Aaron Wilkerson was last seen on Sunday, May 11th at 1 p.m. in the area of 1088 Little Vine Church Road in Villa Rica. His family has been desperately searching for him ever since.

Wilkerson was with a white Maltese dog ‘Bebe’, wearing a blue collar with a phone number on the ID tag. The dog was found alive but in need of medical attention from animal bites. The dog was taken to Douglas County Animal Shelter.

Authorities say Wilkerson's truck was stuck in a creek on a power line in Douglas County.

There was no foul play at the scene.

Meta Smith, Wilkerson’s daughter, says she has traveled thousands of miles looking for her father.

“We'll get out and look maybe over a cliff, look through the trees, any place that looks like a vehicle could go through the brush and the brush spring back,” said Smith.

Wilkerson is originally from Anniston, Alabama.
