Fundraiser for Steve Utash April 25-26

Posted: Updated:
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) - More than three weeks ago, Steve Utash was attacked after stopping to help a young boy who was accidentally struck by Utash's pickup.

Utash has been in critical condition since. He has been out of a coma for some time now, though FOX 2 is told his condition remains the same.

A fundraiser will be held this weekend, April 25 and 26, at Winner's Bar & Grill in Clinton Township.

The restaurant is located at 34540 Harper Ave. There will be live entertainment, drink specials and 50/50 drawings.

Twenty-five percent of the sales will be donated back to Utash's family.

His family is also still accepting donations via a GoFundMe account to help pay for Utash's medical expenses.

Since the attack, four people have been ordered to stand trial on attempted murder charges. Separately, a fifth person is charged in Juvenile Court with assault and ethnic intimidation.
