Inmate escapes from federal facility in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Federal authorities say an inmate has escaped from a minimum-security facility in Tucson.

The Federal Bureau of Prison says 28-year-old Adrian Perez was discovered missing from the Federal Correctional Complex Satellite Camp about 10 p.m. Sunday.

They say it's unclear how Perez managed to walk away from the facility.

He's serving a 37-month sentence for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The U.S. Marshals Service and other law enforcement officials have been notified.

The FCC Satellite Camp houses about 150 male inmates.
