It's video of a crash that took a man's life. The video credited with helping investigators figure out why the crash happened.

Right now investigators say the on duty deputy was speeding when a car pulled out in front of him.

In the video the victim's car is stopped, about to make a left turn onto 59th Avenue.

Glendale Police say he was traveling at 81 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone when the crash happened.

The victim, 63 year-old John Harding, was killed in the crash. Deputy Pearce had minor injuries.

A different camera caught the crash. It showed both cars hitting each other with so much force that it sent the cars flying across three lanes of traffic.

Deputy Pearce is the son of former State Senate President Russell Pearce. He told investigators he was going 55 miles per hour. A crash data computer from inside the SUV showed that he was going 81 miles per hour when the crash happened.

Glendale Police recommended Deputy Pearce be charged with manslaughter. They forwarded the case to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office for a decision.
