For some, fashion is nothing more than the clothes on your back. For others, it's a statement of who you are. For Sarah Jessica Parker, fashion is much more than that - it's a lifestyle.
"Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker is an iconic image of New York fashion. But what happens when she's submerged into the fashion of Chicago?
FOX 32 News caught up with Parker while she was in town to promote her new shoe line "SJP," which shoppers can find at Nordstrom. She dished on how Chicago fashion compares to New York style, what went into the development of her new line and deep-dish pizza with Good Day Chicago's Jake Hamilton.
But the influence that "Sex and the City" has had on the world of fashion may not be all positive. Parker's co-star Kristin Davis recently expressed some personal regrets about the show's influence on women's shoes. But Parker said her own experience has helped "SJP" shoes avoid those problems.
As for whether we'll see Carrie and the girls together again for a third "Sex and the City" film, she had some bad news. Parker said that while she knows what the story would be, there are no immediate plans to make it any time soon.
