Expanded Mandatory Evacuations Ordered in Azusa

Posted: Updated:

AZUSA (FOX 11) - Police officials in Azusa are now urging all residents in the Ridge View Drive neighborhood to evacuate immediately.

The new mandatory evacuation for all residents of Ridge View expands upon an evacuation order issued Thursday that primarily affected 11 homes backed against the hillside, Azusa police report.

All residents of the street are now being told to evacuate. No pedestrians or vehicles will be allowed in the area either.

The latest order was issued because of unstable ground and a new storm cell heading for Azusa.

Clippers owner Donald Sterling repeatedly consented to his wife selling the Clippers while facing the prospect of being stripped of the team by the NBA, then suddenly changed his mind and disregarded the terms of the family trust, Shelly Sterling's attorney told a judge today.
Shelly Sterling acted properly in removing her husband as a director of the family trust that owns the Los Angeles Clippers, and she has the authority to sell the team despite Donald Sterling's objections, a judge tentatively ruled on Monday.
