Arcadia High School senior Matt Peterson has been looking forward to tongiht for a month now. Thursday night he was able to meet his idol Miley Cyrus.

Peterson showed FOX 10 his tuxedo, "so this is what I call a tongue tuxedo," said peterson.

"i spent a lot of money on this and it's a 300 dollar suit and my dad was freaking out," he said.

Dressed in his finest Miley inspired duds Matt peterson headed to meet his idol at her Phoenix concert after he was personally invited to the show.

"Miley Cyrus will you go to prom with me?" is how Peterson asked the pop star out in a viral video a month ago. The video took off it now has close to 900 thousand views from all over the globe. "It's been absolutely insane," he said.

Through social media Miley saw the video and sent Matt a tweet saying she couldn't make it to prom but personally invited Matt to hang out with her before her show.

"i had hoped that she'd see it, that's why i made the video but i never imagined so many news people would be interested. I'm just a kid asking someone to prom,"

matt has the tux a crosage he's just hoping for a slow dance with the pop star tonight and to keep it together when he meets her.

"my mom said, whatever you do don't cry please don't cry and then she cried this morning so it's not even fair,"
