FERNDALE, Mich. (WJBK) -

An intoxicated Ferndale man faces trespassing charges after he awoke to find himself surrounded by police in a strange apartment.

Lt. William Wilson says an unsuspecting resident woke up in his apartment on Leland St. around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to find strange clothes strewn about his bathroom floor. That's when he noticed an unknown man, later identified as 24-year-old Anthony Jagger, sleeping on his living room couch.

The resident, along with a guest who did not know the intruder either, tried to wake him. When Jagger wouldn't respond, police were called to the scene.

Wilson says Jagger was found to be drunk and could not provide an answer as to why he wound up on the couch.

He was arrested for trespassing and is scheduled for arraignment later today.
