Missing Woman From Delco Found Dead In Car

Posted: Updated:
CENTER CITY -

A woman's body was found Thursday morning inside a car right near Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, and the car belongs to a missing woman from Delaware County.

There are still a lot of questions tonight, and police from two jurisdictions on the case.

The body of 22-year-old Nadia Malik, was found in a car just a half a block from 30th Street Station.

Police believe she had been in the car's passenger seat for the last 10 days.

The black 2007 Nissan Altima is the one used by Malik, of Broomall, who was last seen on Feb. 9.

Detectives swarmed the car parked on 31st Street for most of Thursday after the discovery.

Police say the car had been there so long it had been issued seven parking tickets. Hundreds of people walked by the vehicle.

But it wasn't until at 10:27 a.m. Thursday when someone noticed a body slumped over in the passenger seat.

Police said the window tint was extremely heavy and it appears, from dirt on the windshield, the car was snow-covered. The body was positioned in the passenger seat made it difficult to see inside.

Police believe it was Malik's body that was found in the car with no apparent signs of injuries.

Since Malik went missing, police have arrested the woman's boyfriend in Ohio. After a several-day search, 22-year-old Bhupinder Singh is being held at a local police station on unrelated probation violations.

We have learned that a Delaware County judge has signed an extradition order for Singh. He's set to be back in Pennsylvania sometime next week, FOX 29's Chris O'Connell reports.
