On October 15th 2013, Phoenix Police searched for a suspect who show a CenturyLink employee near 22nd Avenue & Southern.

The employee was going up and down an alleyway looking for a power pole that needed replaced when a man on a bike wearing a hoodie came up to his open window and demanded his wallet. When he reached for the wallet he was shot. FOX 10 has obtained the following 911 call that the victim made.

911 Dispatcher: "911, where is your emergency?"
Victim: "Oh **** I'm not sure, I'm at like, like 22nd & Southern, I got shot"
Victim: "I was in an alley, and a dude in a hoodie tried to grab my money and he (expletive) shot me"
911 Dispatcher: "Stay on the line with me, I'm gonna send some help to you"
911 Dispatcher: "Where have you been shot?"
Victim: "Chest, shoulder, chest,shoulder, shoulder I guess, shoulder"
911 Dispatcher: "Stay with me ok"
Victim: "Ok, please hurry"
911 Dispatcher: "Where did the guy go that shot you, did he leave in a car?"
Victim: "No he's on a bicycle, he had a dark hoodie on"
911 Dispatcher: "Which way did he go on the bike"
Victim: "I didn't see, as soon as the gun went off, I just, I don't know. I didn't see which way he went
Dispatcher: "Ok, He's wearing a dark hoodie?"
911 Dispatcher: "Is he white, black, or hispanic?"
Victim: "Looked like a white guy with a beard and sunglasses"
911 Dispatcher:" Hang on with me, about how old is he"
Victim: "I'm bleeding out man"
911 Dispatcher: "Ok, stay with me, I've got help going out there ok?"

The 42 year-old victim was shot in the shoulder with the bullet exiting his back. He has gone through physical therapy and should be back to work in two weeks.

Police have not made any arrest in the case and if you have any information you are asked to call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
