3 students hospitalized after taking prescription drugs

BUCKEYE, Ariz. -

The Buckeye Fire Department has confirmed that three 8th grader elementary school students took prescription drugs and had to be transported to an area hospital.

The two boys and one girl attend Freedom Elementary near 221st Avenue and Sundance Parkway.

According to FOX 10's Jessica Flores who was at the scene, the students each took one prescription headache medication.  They were hospitalized as a precaution.

Their names and ages have not been released.
