Little Mix: They Are Very Dedicated, Our Fans

Posted: Updated:

Another British Invasion is upon us, and it's in the form of Little Mix. The group blew everyone away on the UK version of The X Factor and now they're wowing fans in the States. the ladies joined Steve and Lisa to talk about Thursday night's show in Anaheim with Demi Lovato, their in store appearances, and their latest CD "Salute". We also surprised them with a special shout from someone in "the biz" that knows musical talent when he see it. He gives Little Mix his blessing on the air and their reactions are priceless.

Little Mix are performing tonight with Demi Lovato at the Honda Center in Anaheim...and they're also making a couple in store appearances. Their latest CD ‘Salute' debuted at number one on iTunes.

Fun Facts About Little Mix: (Source: Wikipedia)

1) They are a British four-piece girl group formed in 2011, consisting of members Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall. They were formed exclusively for the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011, and became the first group to win the competition. Following their victory, they signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records and released a cover of Damien Rice's "Cannonball" as their winner's single.

2) Little Mix released their debut album DNA on 19 November 2012. It charted in the top 5 in eight countries, including number two in the UK, and at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. This made Little Mix the first girl group since The Pussycat Dolls to reach the U.S. top 5 with their debut album, as well as earning the highest debut U.S. chart position by a British girl group, breaking the record previously held by the Spice Girls, whose 1996 debut Spice charted at number five. As of October 2013, Little Mix have sold over 3 million singles and over 2 million albums worldwide.

3) In 2011, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson successfully auditioned as soloists for the eighth series of The X Factor, but failed to make it past bootcamp's first challenge. However, the judges decided to give them another chance to be part of the Groups category. They were then put into separate ensembles by the judges during the group's bootcamp stage, with Edwards and Nelson in four-member group Faux Pas and Thirlwall and Pinnock in three-member group Orion.

Later today, Little Mix will be at the Buena Park Mall from 2 to 4 signing copies of their new CD.

Of course, tonight they'll hit the stage with Demi Lovato at the Honda Center in Anaheim. That show starts at 7:00pm.

And tomorrow they'll be at Barnes and Noble at The Grove signing copies of their new CD...that starts at 5.

That new CD, "Salute", is available now.
