CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A Michigan boy who told his mom he didn't have any friends to invite to his birthday party suddenly has thousands of them.

Colin has a condition similar to autism.

His mom said she wanted to throw him a party to celebrate his 11th birthday.

That's when Colin told her he didn't have any friends.

So his mom created a "Happy birthday, Colin" Facebook page, so at least his family could say happy birthday.

And it took off.

Thirty thousand people from all over the world are now Colin's friends.

Some are even mailing cars.

The best part, Colin doesn't even know it yet.

His birthday is March 9th, and his mom says she's saving the surprise for that day.
