De Blasio's lateness problem

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Mayor Bill de Blasio is known for being chronically late.  In his latest instance, he showed up 30 minutes late for his first state of the city address at LaGuardia College in Queens on Monday.

Hizzoner has acknowledged his tardiness in the past. A former aide even told the NY Post that, "he doesn't care that he's late."

Which begs the question: is his time more valuable than everyone else's?

Here are some of the events since his election where he has not been to on time:

He was nearly an hour late for an announcement of his new police commissioner in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

He kept thousands of people waiting outside Gracie Mansion in the cold for an open house.

De Blasio was also more than 30 minutes late to a press conference outside a Bushwick restaurant announcing his plan to expand paid sick leave.

De Blasio was set to deliver a speech on universal pre-K at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday.
