Maria Gialdi was walking in the area of University Drive and Seneca Street in Pontiac when she was attacked by two dogs. Police say the German Shepherds grabbed her legs and pulled her down the street.

Amir Laster was driving by and saw the attack, got out of his car and helped the woman.

"I got out the car, went and grabbed my scraper and I just went around the car and was like, 'Get outta here! Get outta here!'" says Laster.

He was able to take her into his car, away from the attacking dogs. Her feet and legs were severely bitten.

Police were able to find the dogs behind a home and the dogs charged the deputies. One of the dogs was shot and killed but the second dog ran away. It was later found in Auburn Hills and turned on police again, so it was also killed.

The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple bites on her thighs, legs and ankles and has received upward of 50 stitches.

The owner of the dogs could face charges. The Oakland Co. Sheriff's Dept. says the two dogs also attacked two other people. One victim was able to fend them off, but the other suffered similar injuries to Gialdi.
