Yogis to attempt new world record at Ford Field

Posted: Updated:

For the first time, Metro Detroiters will have a chance to practice yoga inside a Detroit landmark, as part of an effort to set a record and support a local charitable effort.

The creators of "Yoga Rocks Ford Field" invite yoga fans of all ages, and skill levels together to positively showcase Detroit by participating in a world record-breaking yoga session in Ford Field. Organizers expect "Yoga Rocks Ford Field" to draw more than 3,000 people on Saturday, February 22. A crowd that size would set a record for a single indoor yoga session.

Registration for the session begins at 8:30 a.m. with the session starting promptly at 9:45 a.m. on the field with that is home to the Detroit Lions. Registration is now open.
