A troop of Girl Scouts had their money taken from a cookie booth in Glendale near 35th Ave. & Bell Friday evening.

A spokesperson for the troop said that the money was left unattended for a brief time while the girls and mothers packed up the booth at the end of the day.

Authorities have not released the specific amount of money that was taken but a spokesperson for the troop estimated that the theft cost the girls several hundred dollars.
