TUCSON, Ariz. -

Tucson Fire Department investigators are working to determine what sparked a fire at a storage yard near Valencia Rd & Palo Verde Road.

Firefighters were called to the yard after 9:45 p.m. Thursday after two dozen 9-1-1 calls were received. Crews were concerned about a nearby school that the callers thought might have been on fire.

Emergency crews arrived six minutes later and found 14 storage containers heavily engulfed in fire with flames topping 30 feet.

Crews called the blaze under control about 30 minutes later, the elementary school nearby was not damaged.
