A 19-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted two deputies while they were trying to arrest him.

Two Mohave County sheriff's deputies arrived to a home in the 4400 block of S. Calle Viveza to investigate an earlier vehicle accident early Wednesday morning.

Deputies say they saw Ernesto Rodriguez at the home with blood on his shirt.

When he was approached, Rodriguez allegedly became combative with one of them.

According to deputies, Rodriguez pushed the deputy and told him to get out of his house.

Rodriguez reportedly continued to push the deputy several times after being told he was under arrest.

A Taser was used on Rodriguez, but it barely affected him.

A second deputy entered the room and MCSO says a struggle ensued between the deputies and Rodriguez.

Eventually the deputies used pepper spray on Rodriguez and he was taken into custody.

Rodriguez was booked and faces felony charges of two counts of resisting arrest and two counts of aggravated assault on an officer.
