Boy With Terminal Cancer Gets Last Wish

MT. PLEASANT, SC -

Ethen Richardson was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in July. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is sending his entire family to New York City to ring in the New Year.

Ethen's parents say that their son has always dreamed about going to New York City, a place that he says is bigger than the moon.

"So, when he went to proclaim his love to us he would always say, ‘momma, daddy, I love you bigger than New York City,' so that's where we're going," mom Brandy Richardson said.

Despite going through treatment, Ethen has never complained and always has a smile on his face. His parents are impressed and inspired by his spirit.

"This past July he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and he's been a champ the whole time," said Brandy.

And boy is Ethen excited about NYC, a city he will see for the first and very likely the last time.

"I heard they have some pretty famous pizza there," he said.

The Richardson family will also make a national TV appearance. They've been selected as special guests for a New Year's Eve special right here on FOX.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
