River drained as search for missing man continues

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. -

Authorities lowered the water level of the Chattahoochee River to search for Sandy Springs man missing for over a week.

Crews were out on the river Friday morning searching for any signs of 71-year-old Gary Morris. Morris has been missing since last week. Police issued a Mattie's Call for him, but there was no sign of him.

Authorities discovered Morris' car near Don White park in Roswell last Wednesday. That has been the focus of their search efforts.

Searchers say they did not find any leads during their efforts on Friday.
