NYPD probing raising of white flags at Brooklyn Bridge

NYPD probing raising of white flags at Brooklyn Bridge

The NYPD is investigating a major security breach at the Brooklyn Bridge, one of the most highly secured landmarks in New York City. Two white flags — international symbols of surrender — fluttered from poles on the stone supports that hold cables above the bridge connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan. The flags had a faint appearance of the stars and stripes. The American flags that are normally up at the bridge appeared to have been removed.

And, of course, when it gets this hot in the valley there's always the danger of kids being left inside hot cars, it's already happened in other parts of the country. In Texas, a mom locked her kids inside the car with her baby strapped into a car seat.

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

Can you imagine documenting your life, every single day on YouTube?  That's what an Arizona man is doing and he's getting paid for it!

He's just one of many people making money off of the web site and his YouTube channel has received more than eight million views!

"I decided to start documenting my life daily.  Every morning, I wake up, I say hi and start cataloging my day," said Clintus McGintus.

McGintus has been video blogging every single day for more than a year and a half.  He's up to 613 consecutive days now.

"Mostly kind of a show off.. mostly showing off my wife, my kids and our awesome life," he said.

McGintus edits the videos and uploads them to his YouTube channel every day.

"The new channel trailer I put up yesterday basically showing him how I blog," he said.

He and his wife both have point-and-shoot cameras to document their lives online.  His kids also know how to use them.

'When I post today's video, I show a thumbnail, a link to this day last year and it shows and by looking at a year how the kids have grown or changed."

He has more than 11,000 followers.  One engine driving a lot of traffic to his site are dirt bike videos.  He also gets detailed YouTube info about when people stop watching.

"Once the kids.. the dirt bikes are over in the video, most people drop off because they were searching for dirt bikes."

So he knows which parts are most popular on his three YouTube channels!  He says it can be tough to summarize your whole day.

"One of the hardest parts of doing a daily blog of your whole day is coming up with a title."

He makes money every 1,000 views a video gets.

"You want to drive traffic to your channel.. to get those views and that ultimately generates revenue."

Not enough cash to make a living, but he's working on it!

McGintus says anyone can collect cash from YouTube if you get enough views.  He says a daily blog is a good way to get people to come back to the site, so they check it out every single day.
