One student was arrested and student ticket sales were suspended after police say students swarmed the ticket office on Saturday night.The students were told they could buy Pac-12 Championship game tickets 15 minutes after the ASU game was over.A video shows ASU police trying to organize a crowd of ASU students who they say swarmed the ticket office Saturday night.
They were hungry for Pac-12 Championship tickets.The cell phone video and photos were taken by ASU student Greg Cameron."The little white barriers were picked up, thrown over people, people were crowd surfing, chanting 'We want Stanford'," said Cameron.ASU police eventually suspended student ticket sales and ordered students to leave, saying tickets would go on sale 9 a.m. Sunday instead. But police say 22-year-old Jason Heckendorn refused to leave and pushed an officer. Heckendorn is facing charges
of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.The associated athletic director said the students were anxious and excited about the chance to play and host the Pac-12 Championship. They will reexamine in the future whether to have ticket sales directly after the game. At 9 a.m. on Sunday, students, lined up again to get Pac-12 tickets. Students focused on Saturday night's win and are looking to a rosy future.
"I think we got it, we're going to the Rose Bowl," said Dallas Sigrist, an ASU student. Pac-12 Championship game tickets are available online until they sell. If the Sun Devils win next Saturday, they're expected to play in the Rose Bowl--something they haven't done in 15 years.
