Crime Stoppers asking for tips in the murder of Michael Triplett

Michael "Matrix" Triplett was found murdered on September 23, 2013. His body was found on the sidewalk off Evergreen Avenue near Warren Avenue on the city's west side.

He was 26 years old and a father to two young children. He hoped to be a rapper and was looking forward to getting married.

His family came forward Tuesday at a Crime Stoppers news conference pleading with the public to share any information it knows about Triplett's death.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest. If the tip that leads to an arrest is received by midnight the day of the news conference (Tuesday, Nov. 26) there is an additional $1,000 reward for a total of $3,500.

Anyone who has information regarding the crime should call Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 1-800-773-2587. You will remain anonymous.
