Sources: Person Of Interest For Double Murder In Custody

Posted: Updated:

"It's very very sad. She is a sweet person.".

That's how friends remembered Ebony Talley after the 22 year old mother and her four year old daughter R'mani were found stabbed inside this fire scene in Bristol Township late Monday afternoon.

"I just don't understand. How could this happen. She's such a good person," said Brittany Coles, the victim's cousin.

Homicide detectives and arson investigators returned to the fire scene Tuesday at the Avalon Court Apartments off Bristol/Oxford Valley Road looking for clues in the murders. Talley had been stabbed multiple times, her daughter at least once. It now appears the fire was set in a failed attempt to cover up the crime.

"It's hard to really talk because things just happened so fast," said one friend at the scene.

Sources say a person of interest in the case was arrested at this nearby apartment complex around 7 Monday night. He was later charged with drug offenses. Tuesday a local district court judge signed search warrants for clothing and dna from the 21 year old Levittown man.

"It sounds like it was some kind of set up or something like that," a friend of the victim said.

Sources say Talley was seven months pregnant. She and her daughter were found stabbed inside the apartment when firefighters entered the building to put out the fast moving fire just before 4pm. Friends and family members were stunned by the loss of the young mother, her unborn child and her little daughter.

"She was a caring person, a loving person, she had a good heart. She never wanted to tell nobody no," Coles said. "She was a loving person, she never did nobody wrong, nobody."

That person of interest was ordered held on $50,000 bail in the unrelated drug case. Police are waiting for an autopsy report and lab results from clothing and DNA taken from that person of interest. We are not naming him because he has not been charged in the murders or the fire.

Sources say an arrest could come as early as tomorrow.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
