Four families are thankful for a chance to adopt some cute puppies that were abandoned just days ago.
The families had to beat some long odds to go home with the adorable dogs.
Dozens of people showed up Wednesday morning at Animal Care and Control -- they all had one goal in mind: taking one of these pups home.
"We saw it on TV and we didn't realize it was going to be like this," said Lindsay Komada.
They filled out tickets and put them into a bowl, crossed their fingers and waited for the names to be called out.
Coming forward with smiles on their faces -- all the while these cute pups had no idea about the big fuss being made about them.
"We're excited. We just bought a house this spring, so this is our first puppy together," said Denaye Bezkler.
It's hard to believe -- looking at the pups' faces -- that someone would want to abandon them.
Last week, they were found in a plastic bin, soaked in diesel fuel, still shivering from the cold, wet storm that rolled through the valley.
And as far as a name is concerned, "We have no idea. We'll just have to see what fits here and see what her attitude is," said Jessica Lofgren.
There were three females and one male that were adopted out on Wednesday. All of them are about two months old.
