The Grand Avenue strip near downtown Phoenix has become a popular destination.
There are shops, galleries, food and drinks and it's located in the area of 10th Avenue and Grand.
The Groove on Grand is a place and a community.
"It's almost like having our own mall, but it's not really a mall, it's a casual place where you can sit down, have a drink and talk with friends," said Sam Filicetti.
"We opened the pub on October 17th and have the art gallery, lounge and people just started coming," said Tanya Craven, general manager of Groove on Grand.
A destination for everyone. You see the names of the eclectic group of retail tenants outside. Inside, 240 square feet of Arizona history.
These are internment camp barracks for German P.O.W.s from World War II. They have a closet, kitchen and they all have their own bathroom.
"We have custom hair design, Muse, they all do their own art design, it's very interesting, and Neil, who does eye glass repair and glasses," said Craven.
The pub on the property is popular too.
"We're seeing the community all coming together and there's so much more that's being developed. There's a community garden down here, there's a rejuvenation of Grand.. is very exciting," said Craven.
And delicious. Sam the Chocolate Guy has his tasty treats inside.
