BRYN MAWR, Pa. -

A Bryn Mawr woman was arrested just after 8 p.m. Friday after a severe crash while allegedly driving under the influence.

32-year-old Grace Tuten's Volvo struck and sheared a utility pole on the 700 block of Williamson Road. She kept driving and then hit a mailbox and large rock in a driveway.

A breath test revealed Tuten's blood-alcohol content was 0.28%, which is over the legal limit of 0.08%.

The woman's 2-year-old son was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was found in a child seat in the back seat. He did not appear to be injured, but was taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital for a precautionary evaluation.

Police also 2 dogs found in the rear cargo area of the Volvo. They did not appear to have any injuries and were taken to the Lower Merion Animal Detention Facility for housing.

She has been charged with ten violations, including DUI, endangering the welfare of a child, and driving under suspension.

Tuten was video arraigned and bail was set at $5,000 unsecured.
