Posted: Updated:

(FOX/CNS) - Orange County sheriff's investigators released a sketch of a woman fatally struck by a car in Stanton eight years ago in the hope someone would recognize her and help identify her.

The woman, who appears to be of mixed race, was believed to be 19-30 years old. She was walking when she was struck by a car at Beach Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue about 9:05 p.m., Sept. 11, 2005.

Investigators are renewing calls for the public's help tracking down the woman's family, Gail Krause of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.

The 5-foot-3-inch woman weighed about 165 pounds and had long, wavy brown/black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a striped shirt, blue denim shorts, a silver-colored bangle-type bracelet and jeweled flip-flops.

The victim had a day bus pass for Route 38 from the Lakewood area and had receipts from stores at the Buena Park Mall dated Sept. 11, 2005. She also had a Reggaeton 2005 music CD in her purse.

Anyone with more information as to her name was asked to call sheriff's deputies at (714) 647-7411 and refer to case number 05-06717-HO.
