GLENDALE, Ariz. -

A man died after crashing a truck in a tree near 67th Avenue and Olive on Tuesday morning.

Glendale Police say they found a man in a white work truck that had collided with a tree around 5:30 a.m.

The driver was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries and later died.

There were no passengers.

Police say they don't know what caused the man to drive off the road, but it appears it may have been a medical reason.

The driver's name will be released after the man's family is notified.

The roadway on 67th Avenue between Olive and Butler was closed for a short time while officers investigated.
