ATLANTA -

Police say suspects kicked in the front door of a home in southeast Atlanta overnight and attacked a man inside.

It happened at a home on Linda Lane SE near Browns Mill Road around 4 a.m.  According to investigators, the 31-year-old man was either stabbed or shot after a fight broke out.  He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.  Police say he jumped out the bathroom window and ran to a neighbor's house to call 911.

Investigators believe the home invasion is drug-related, and they found marijuana and a scale inside the house.  Police also found two magazines in the front yard.

They say they aren't sure who the suspects are at this point, but the say residents in the neighborhood shouldn't be too alarmed as the incident appears to be isolated.
