AUSTELL, GA. -

Six Flags Over Georgia has added something new to its annual Halloween FrightFest. The park premiered its FrightFest "The Escape" 5K on Friday.

Runners wore costumes with their sneakers. To complete the course, they had to outrun a motley crew of creatures through five "scare zones".

Runners had to dodge zombies, vampires, chainsaw-wielding maniacs and insane clowns. Professional make-up artists were on hand to help transform runners into ghoulish characters for a post-run after party.

Six Flags FrightFest runs every weekend in October. Click here for more information.
