An 1-year-old boy is in critical condition after his father left him in his car while he was at work on Saturday. Scottsdale Police say a father flagged down a security guard at Scottsdale Quarter shopping center and told him he needed medical help for his 1-year-old son. The child was reportedly sluggish after being left in his father's car since 9 a.m. Police say the father told them he couldn't find a sitter for the child so he thought leaving him inside the car with the air conditioning on would be okay. When the father went to lunch between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., he told police the child seemed fine. However, when he checked on him at 2 p.m., he thought the child seemed lethargic. Police say the man drove around looking for a hospital when he decided to pull into the mall and ask a security guard for help. The 1-year-old was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Officers are investigating and haven't decided if they'll press charges. No names haven't been released.
