Posted: Updated:

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Police in Southfield have discovered a man's body behind an apartment complex near 11 Mile and Franklin Roads.

Lt. Nick Loussia says officers were assisting Wixom police late Thursday night on a missing persons report. Loussia says evidence found at the apartment on the 27000 block of Franklin lead officers to the victim's body in a nearby wooded area.

Investigators determined the victim, a 24-year-old Wixom man, was murdered.

Loussia says an arrest has been made in the case and a 20-year-old man from Detroit is in police custody. Police believe the victim and the suspect were acquaintances.

FOX 2 will have more on this story tonight during FOX 2 News beginning at 5 p.m.
