YARNELL, Ariz. -

Two months since the Yarnell Hill wildfire killed 19 Granite Mountain Hot Shots and destroyed more than 100 homes, the first home is being rebuilt.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Saturday at the home on Las Tiendas Drive in the Glen Ilah neighborhood.
It belongs to Roy and Stacy Pizzirusso who lived there for almost 15 years.

The couple says they had 10 minutes to evacuate before the fire burned their home to the ground June 30th, only their fireplace was left standing.

They plan to incorporate the fire place into their new home, which is expected to be completed in four to six months.

The Pizzirussos had insurance, but 11 homeowners did not.

On Friday, Gov. Jan Brewer's request for FEMA aid was denied for the second time. The federal government saying state and local agencies could handle the damage done to the uninsured homes.
