ATLANTA -

It's easier for you to save a life than you know. Give the gift of life, give blood.

On Thursday, Sept. 12, FOX 5 Atlanta is hosting an on-site blood drive from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the help of  LIFESouth, a non-profit community blood center.

Just come out to the FOX 5 studios at 1551 Briarcliff Road and head on over to the LIFESouth bus setup in the rear parking lot. You can't miss the LIFESouth bus!

It's important to know that each year nearly five million Americans need a blood transfusion. Volunteering to give blood is giving the gift of life.  In fact, one donation can help save the lives of up to three people.

LIFESouth will be providing pastries in the morning and hot dogs in the afternoon for the donors.
