GOODYEAR, Ariz. -

Two California residents traveling through Arizona on their way to Ohio were arrested after police say a tip led them to find heroin in a motel room.

Authorities say they received the tip on September 5 about a vehicle possibly loaded with drugs parked at the Super 8 motel near Dysart Road and Van Buren Street.

A narcotics team was called to contact the subjects in the motel.

"Upon obtaining a search warrant on the vehicle and motel room, additional drug paraphernalia and 4.2 pounds of heroin was discovered, with an estimated Arizona street value of over $152,000," stated Lisa Kutis of the Goodyear Police Department.

33-year-old Tessa Garcia and 25-year-old Martin Delgado were arrested and booked on several drug charges, including transportation of narcotic drugs for sale.  A $270,000 bond was set for each suspect.
