DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -

When just seconds can mean saving or losing a life, first-responders have an incredible responsibility.

Just weeks ago, a 20-year-old man armed with an AK-47 and nearly 500 rounds of ammunition suddenly walked onto the campus of McNair Discovery Academy. Immediately, DeKalb County law enforcement had quite a job on their hands.

Good Day's Tacoma Perry recently spoke with the DeKalb County School Police Department about their rapid response in the McNair incident; including, the importance of evacuation and having emergency plans in all schools.
