SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

A woman was approached by a man, offering to pay thousands of dollars if she bartended what he claimed was a party being thrown by the Detroit Lions. However, the offer soon spiraled into much more than pouring drinks.

The victim was first approached by a coworker. The coworker says a guy named Tim Kanler reached out to her on Facebook, looking for bartenders and hostesses to work a party being thrown by the Lions.

Kanler offered to pay the bartenders $1,000 plus tips, and the hostesses $850 plus tips.

The woman says Kanler made it seem like he had direct contact with the Lions and knew some of the team members well.

Intrigued by the job, the women kept contact with Kanler, but soon realized he was asking for much more.

The victim tells Fox 2's Alexis Wiley, "[Kanler] asked about different girls and what type of undergarments they wore, talking about running 'trains' on girls,"  the victim then explaining that to mean several men would have sex with one girl in a short period of time.

Fox 2 reached out to the Detroit Lions, who says it has no connection with any man named Tim Kanler. Authorities have turned the case over to the FBI.

Wiley also reached out to Kanler on Facebook, who then took down his page.
