'Farm to Table' block party coming to Birmingham

The Community House will present "Farm to Table Strolling Block Party on Sept. 7 from 4-8 p.m. at The Community House (380 South Bates Street) in Birmingham.

The party will feature tastings from chefs representing well-known area restaurants from Oakland and Wayne counties who will exclusively use Michigan grown ingredients in their food tastings.

Michigan vendors will sell the best of Michigan farm fresh agricultural produce, cheese, meat, baked goods, jams and other edible products.  Local breweries, wineries and distilleries will also be on hand to conduct tastings. Children will enjoy kids' activities including animal balloon sculptures and glitter tattoos.

All of the streets surrounding The Community House will be blocked off.

Tickets can be purchased in advance on The Community House website, www.tchserves.org or by calling 248-644-5832.  Adult tickets are $25 (includes one drink ticket) Children 12 years of age and under are $10.
