Is New Orleans crooner Harry Connick, Jr. bound for 'Idol'?

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Is crooner, composer and actor Harry Connick Jr. taking a seat on "American Idol"'s season 13 judges panel? Could be!

The Hollywood Reporter claims to have an exclusive details on the news. Fox Network has declined to comment. If it's indeed true, then season 13 would be a return to Idol for one of New Orleans' favorite sons.

Connick -- no stranger to the small screen -- would be joining country singer Keith Urban and actor-singer Jennifer Lopez, who is also returning for her second visit to "Idol." Lopez was a judge in 2011 and 2012. Urban was a judge in 2013

Earlier reports have announced that last season's judges Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj will not be returning for season 13.
