Kasie Hopes To Skate Into A Forever Home

Posted: Updated:

She is woman, hear her roar…or in this case, watch her ‘board!  Some people exude a confidence that allows them to put themselves out there and experience things as they come – and this week's Wednesday's Child is one of those people.  Kasie (1998) has good coordination and natural athletic abilities that shine through, whether she's playing more conventional sports such as baseball and basketball or going head on with the challenges of more extreme sports like this week's adventure…skateboarding!

Even with confidence and abilities, we all need guidance and a helping hand at times.  And fortunately for Kasie, legendary skateboarder Christian Hosoi was recently in town for the 2013 Summer Skate Expo and was more than happy to give some guidance and lend a helping hand.  And while Kasie looks focused and serious in these pictures, she can be quick to smile and has her own brand of humor.  Like any teen, Kasie has a need to be heard and accepted.  Kasie tells us she hopes to serve in the military some day, but first we want Kasie to experience life within a safe and supportive family that can be her permanent home "base".

Seeing Kasie's athletic abilities and confidence, "Coach Christian" has faith that this wasn't the last of Kasie's skateboarding days and encouraged her by giving her a top-of-the-line pro skateboard.  And we have faith that there is a family out there that's meant to be the family for Kasie.

A little shy at first but quick to warm up, this week's Wednesday's Child is athletic and sports-minded. But sports alone do not define Curtis (2004) and his interests – he also has an aptitude for math
