(FOX 11) If you are driving along the 57 near Katella you can see Honda Center, Angel Stadium and a big construction site with a banner near the top the reads CLARK. Clark is the contractor building ARTIC. ARTIC stands for Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center. That's Anaheim's answer to LA's Union Station and New York's Grand Central Station. Though the name is strange with that word "intermodal" that word says a lot because it's a hub that will bring together different modes of transportation.
Finally, transportation officials in the OC tell me, their area will have a regional hub that can serve as a "destination" like other cities have and with 20 million visitors to Anaheim's resorts, conventions, concerts and athletic events the more enhanced the transportation system is ... the better.
The overall goal is to get people out of their cars and into mass transit. ARTIC is one piece of a bigger plan to create transportation of the future for Anaheim.
