PAYSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in eastern Arizona say one person is injured after a helicopter went down in a Tonto National Forest wilderness area. Lt. Tim Scott of the Gila County Sheriff's Office says the helicopter went down about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday some 20 miles west of Payson. That's a forest community 70 miles northeast of Phoenix Television footage showed the helicopter intact on the ground with what appears to be tail damage. Authorities say six people were aboard and only the pilot was injured. That person was airlifted to a Scottsdale hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Arizona Public Service officials say one of its employees was on the helicopter and on "an economic development mission." The Bell helicopter was leased by APS and was flying from Scottsdale to Flagstaff.
